Songnidan-gil Street

About this place

Songnidan-gil is a lively alley south of Seokchon Lake's eastern basin in Songpa-gu, its name playfully combining "Songpa-dong" with the famous Gyeongnidan-gil street in Itaewon. Once an unremarkable residential and commercial strip, the area transformed into one of southeast Seoul's trendiest neighborhoods as independent cafés, stylish eateries, and photography studios moved in following the opening of Lotte World Tower nearby. The street offers a diverse dining scene spanning Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisines, along with dessert cafés known for their photogenic interiors. After dark, the illuminated silhouette of Lotte World Tower frames the alleyways, making it a popular evening stroll destination paired with a walk around Seokchon Lake.
