About this place
Seokchon Lake is a scenic urban lake park in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, formed by damming a former branch of the Han River. The lake is divided into East Lake and West Lake by Songpa-daero Boulevard, covering a combined 217,850 square meters. A 2.6-kilometer walking and jogging path encircles the water, and the surrounding Songni-dan Street is lined with cafes and restaurants. Every spring, hundreds of cherry trees burst into bloom around the lake, making it one of Seoul's most beloved destinations for cherry blossom viewing.
