About this place

Nodeul Island sits in the middle of the Han River, beneath Hangang Bridge, and reopened in September 2019 after decades of abandonment as a music-themed cultural complex. The island is home to the Live House performance hall, a bookstore-library, a plant atelier, and several dining options, all operated by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture. Its broad riverside lawn frames unobstructed views of the Hangang Iron Bridge and the 63 Building, making it a favorite spot for picnics and evening strolls. Weekend events—live concerts, cultural markets, and workshops—draw a consistent mix of families and younger visitors.
