About this place
Gyeongridan-gil is a roughly one-kilometer sloping alley in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, stretching from Exit 2 of Noksapyeong Station up toward Namsan Mountain. The street takes its name from the former Armed Forces Financial Management Corps (Gyeongnidan) that was once stationed nearby, and its proximity to the U.S. military base has given rise to a rich mix of international restaurants, rooftop cafes, independent bookstores, and small ateliers. Climbing the gentle hill, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of central Seoul from open-air terraces and rooftop venues. Unlike the more bustling main Itaewon strip, Gyeongridan-gil retains a quieter, more intimate atmosphere that has made it a favorite with locals and in-the-know travelers.
