About this place

Seoullo 7017 is an urban regeneration project that transformed a 1970s highway overpass above Seoul Station into an elevated pedestrian garden in 2017. The name encodes its history: "70" for the year it was built as a road, "17" for its rebirth, and the 17 pedestrian paths that now branch off from it. Stretching roughly 1 km at a height of 17 meters, the walkway offers unobstructed views over Seoul Station's rail yards and the surrounding cityscape. Seasonal plantings—magnolias in spring, roses in summer—and evening illumination make it a pleasant destination at any hour.
